Misterious tales

                                                                 "The most beautiful experience
we can have is the mysterious.
                                                                  It is the fundamental emotion
which stands at the cradle of
                                                                       true art and true science".

                                                                                   (Albert Einstein)

Your left hand should never know... story of a spiritual centre never born.
Still nowadays, many years later, when I think about those events I'm going
to speak about, I'm overcome by a deep uneasiness.

"Springtime was coming and after an exchange of letters a large number
of people gathered in B., a learned city in Emilia Romagna.
There were appreciator of Krishnamurti, followers of Sai Baba, lovers of
macrobiotics, disciples of Zen...
Among them stood out Nasdrovia's figur, a kind of guru who had come to B.
with his followers, five or six people, and whom it had been told amazing
stories about.
During the day something else filtered from behind the scenes.
For example that Nasdrovia, predicting I don't know what kind of forthcoming
disasters for mankind, insisted on the necessity to build a shelter... a refuge...
but let's proceed in order.
The initial enthusiasm was palpable.
Somebody had caught sight of an abandoned cottage on the green hills of U.,
the native country of Saint Francis.
Nasdrovia had already spoken to the farmer; it wouldn't take too much...
they needed only restore it...
But the enthusiasm slowly began to decrease, till it vanished because of an
enormous obstacle: cash.
Who should have come across with money?
At that point a maid of Nasdrovia took the reins and asked the participants
casually: 'Who can cut?... '.
Nobody spoke.
'Who can cut... and slice?', she continued, miming the gesture of slicing a
sausage -  the situation was becoming paradoxical, and in my opinion it was
already so, actually. What the hell was she driving at?
Could it be possible that she... by chance... had knowledge of my secret
passion for Bologna sausage?
She couldn't keep quiet any longer and said: 'Well, who's a butcher?'... Damn...
Apart from the after-effects for somebody who had already given some money
and for somebody else who had put it into his pocket, the thing had an end".

Some time after the facts narrated all media broadcast that a disastrous
earthquake had struck Saint Francis' country, leaving a trail of death and
destruction.
And more recently, as I talked with a common friend of us, I learned that the
above-mentioned Nasdrovia had been arrested on a charge of rape.

P.S.
This is an imaginary story and any reference to actual facts, places or people
is entirely accidental.
